About Mr Halliday

Mr Halliday is delighted to be teaching English Sets and is passionate about helping children develop a lifelong love of reading, writing and language. He believes that every child has the potential to become a confident communicator and enjoys bringing stories to life through engaging lessons that encourage creativity, curiosity and imagination.

A keen reader, Mr Halliday's favourite book is The Lord of the Rings, and he loves sharing a wide range of books with his pupils to inspire a love of literature. Outside of school, he enjoys reading, going for walks, attending live music gigs and following both Halifax Town Football Club and Rugby League. He also has a keen interest in nature and enjoys spotting butterflies and bumblebees whenever he can.

Mr Halliday's favourite places to visit are Flamborough Head and the beautiful Greek island of Kefalonia, where he enjoys spending time outdoors and taking in the scenery. His favourite season is autumn, with its colourful landscapes and crisp days, and if you ask him his favourite colour, he'll happily tell you it's pink! A fun fact about Mr Halliday is that he can sing Puff the Magic Dragon backwards – a talent that always surprises people!
