Miss Appleyard

About Miss Appleyard

Miss Appleyard is delighted to be teaching Year 2 and is passionate about creating a happy, engaging classroom where every child feels supported to achieve their best. She loves sharing stories with her class, with The Runaway Pea being one of her favourite books to read together.

Outside of school, Miss Appleyard enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends, visiting the Lake District, keeping active through fitness challenges, and watching musicals at the theatre. She has completed two half marathons, climbed the Three Peaks in one day, and taken part in Total Warrior twice! Before becoming a teacher, she studied Musical Theatre and has performed in Disneyland Paris, London's West End, and even appeared in a music video.

Miss Appleyard loves the colours turquoise and green, enjoys Italian food, and looks forward to spring when the flowers begin to bloom. She is excited to inspire a love of learning and make this a fun and memorable year for all of the children in Year 2.

Knowledge Organisers & Newsletters

At Ash Green, we value our curriculum and want to keep you informed about your child’s learning. Each half term, we will upload a newsletter explaining what your child will be learning in every subject. These newsletters will also include important dates, events, and exciting activities to look forward to.

The newsletters are a great way for you to talk with your child about their learning and support them with extra activities at home. Don’t forget to check Class Dojo for homework rewards and incentives too!
